We emphasise the “Capital D” in Development as part of our commitment to upliftment – empowering people to seek better lives for themselves and their children.
The strength of any health system is reliant in part on a vibrant and diverse private sector. No matter how large or limited the role of government in the health system, the private sector’s role in driving positive outcomes must be acknowledged.
By driving investment in healthcare facilities, delivery of critical clinical services, local production of medicines and other essential commodities, and effective and efficient supply chain solutions, we’re expanding people’s access to quality care and innovative treatments. This isn’t just about treating illness; it’s about enabling individuals to choose health.
H4D’s impact goes beyond individual health. We’re tackling health disparities head-on, helping our clients to direct resources to fill unmet demand and bridging gaps in healthcare access. Of the United Nations’ 17 Sustainable Development Goals, 3, 5 and 8 bring together the imperatives of health, women’s empowerment and economic growth.
